About Inspiration Point
Assisting you along the road to lifelong health
Inspiration point was created to be a calm and comfortable place where patients can rest easy while feeling safe and supported. Our judgement free zone allows patients to explore healing in their own way, whether it is physical, mental, emotional, or more specific (PS - It’s all connected).
We take the time to truly listen, to understand your challenges, to develop a plan that is unique to you, to find answers where there have been none, and to get you back to the life you want.
Our inspiration comes from an ancient healing system backed with modern science. Balancing your brain, body, and spirit allows you to feel your best, more easily cope with life’s ups and downs, and recover faster from major and/or minor health issues.
While we treat just about everyone, over the years of evolving practice, Anne has refined her passion for the brain by specializing in the treatment of many neurological issues. If you or someone you love is dealing with a traumatic brain injury, trying to recover from a stroke, or facing a neuro-degenerative process, call us today to see how she can help.
About Anne
Compassion
As a true native of Boulder, Colorado, I grew up surrounded by alternative approaches to health and wellness. During my teen years I developed a deep interest in the inner workings of the human mind and its connection to the physical body. That adolescent curiosity led to a degree in Psychology in 1995 with the intention of becoming a psychologist. I quickly realized that something was missing, that the kind of healing I wanted to provide would require more than just talk: enter Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. I’ve dedicated more than 20 years to understanding what it means to heal the whole person.
Understanding
My goal is to work closely with you to uncover the root of your ailments and restart the body’s natural healing process. With a deep understanding of the processes underlying physical and mental health, my heart lies in compassionately guiding you to your individual path of well-being. I meet you where you are, without judgement of your current state of health.
In the years of professional development and building my practice in Longmont, I was also gaining real life experience in navigating the world of health care. Guiding myself and my family through big health challenges including cancer, heart attack, and brain surgery showed me what it was like to be in the trenches as a patient and as a caregiver. In short, I get it.
Experience
Fueled by one Grandmother’s passion for Chinese Culture and the other Grandmother’s passion for healing the body with food, I earned a Master of Science in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2000—graduating valedictorian from South Baylo University in Anaheim California. I quickly earned NCCAOM status as a diplomate and passed the California state licensing exam.
In 2001 I joined the practice of my teacher, a 7th generation Chinese Herbologist who taught me the subtle nuances of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In the back of his clinic, I hosted tutoring classes for the licensing exam. The popularity of these classes led to a teaching position at Southern California University of Health Sciences.
In 2004 I opened a large multi-disciplinary practice that incorporated acupuncture, chiropractic, physical therapy, massage, psychotherapy and more. At the same time, I worked at an orthopedic clinic where I treated a large variety of musculo-skeletal injuries.
In 2006, following the birth of my first child, I returned home to Colorado and continued to build my acupuncture practice in Longmont.
In 2017 my experiences culminated in forming Inspiration Point Acupuncture and Wellness after becoming completely re-inspired by the medicine itself. I am constantly seeking new knowledge to best serve you. My passion lies in studying neurology and neurological conditions. Among many formal trainings, my favorite certifications are 5 Element Functional Medicine, Constitutional Acupuncture Facial Renewal and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique).
